BIOGRAPHY

Jacob is a partner of the firm whose practice is focused primarily on transactional matters, including corporate, partnership, s-corporation, and non-profit planning areas, with an emphasis on federal and state taxation. In his practice, Jacob advises clients on various business and tax issues and assists with the preparation and implementation of complex estate plans under Louisiana and Texas law. In addition to his primary transactional practice, Jacob has significant experience representing clients in Louisiana probate proceedings, as well as advising clients with respect to myriad entity, fiduciary, and real estate issues. Jacob is admitted to practice before all Louisiana and Texas state courts.

Prior to attending law school, Jacob graduated from Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in History and Spanish, with a Concentration in American Studies. In 2011, Jacob graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center. During law school, Jacob was a Semi-Finalist in the Robert Lee Tullis Intraschool Moot Court Competition, was a member of the Moot Court Board, and was a member of the Judge John R. Brown Admiralty Moot Court Team during his 3L year. Jacob was named to the Chancellor’s List multiple times, was awarded a Faculty Merit Scholarship, and received CALI Awards for Excellence in Matrimonial Regimes, Jurisprudence, and the Corporate Governance Seminar. Following law school, Jacob received his LL.M. in Taxation from New York University School of Law.

Jacob and his wife Paige have three children, Charlotte, Jack and Emily. Outside of his law practice, Jacob currently serves on the Board of Directors of Providence House and enjoys socializing with friends and following LSU football.
